One of my all time favorite Star Wars movies was Rogue One and were are digging a little deeper into the rebellion with the upcoming Disney Plus series, Andor. I’ve been anticipating getting to see more of Diego Luna’s titular character, Cassian Andor and diving into his backstory.
The latest Star Wars series is “a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy,” and focuses on “Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.”
Others in the cast includes Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw. The trailer also confirms Forest Whitaker will reprise his Rogue One role as resistance fighter, Saw Gerrera.
There’s a lot of new footage in the new trailer released this morning. Watch it below and check out Andor when it premieres the first three of its 12-episode run on September 21.
